North Georgia Horn Works is a repair shop specializing in maintenance, repair, restoration, and customization of brass and woodwind instruments. We understand that a musical instrument is an extension of the player - a tool for expression. It is our mission to provide excellent work using quality materials in a timely manner. Our goal is an instrument that performs at its optimum, is aesthetically pleasing, and instills confidence in the player. Whether you are a beginner, a member of a marching band, a college student, church musician, hobbyist or professional, the same attention to detail is employed with every instrument that comes across our bench.
The many services we offer include pad and cork replacement for all woodwind instruments, cleaning and polishing, tone hole and crack repair, solders and dent removal, valve and slide repair, trombone slide treatment and alignment, and case repair. We also offer specialized custom work including detachable bell conversions, tunable bell conversions, custom fabrication of keys, levers, or throw triggers, custom bracing, etc.
We invite you to call or come by and talk to us. We offer consultations, appraisals, and accurate quotes on the work requested. Most of all, we treat our clients and their instruments with respect.
